Wet Plate Photography
Malta Through Victorian Eyes
Price on request
A new Opus Malta publication presenting the islands through a Victorian-era lens. Malta's landscapes, streets and landmarks are captured with the 19th-century wet-plate collodion process: large-format cameras, hand-coated glass plates and images developed on location, each one a unique positive on glass. The result invites locals and visitors alike to rediscover familiar places as they were seen in the age that shaped so much of Malta's architecture and character.
